My 6 Step Monetisation X Strategy

Starting out on X is difficult.

Not only are you overwhelmed with loads of information, but there’re 1000’s of different creators telling you a 1000 different things.

What we need is clarity.

It’s impossible to build anything without it, let alone an online business.

So I’ve found 3 mentors to study.

Dan Koe, Kieran Drew, and Justin Welsh.

I’ve bought all of their products, studied them for the last 3 months, and here’s what I’ve found:

Content that talks to your target audience

The most part of creating online is who you’re creating for.

If you don’t know who you’re creating towards?

You’re creating for the sake of creating.

There’s no point.

You need to figure out your target audiences problems, pains, desires, and dreams.

Because if not?

You’ll never be able to create content that resonates deeply enough for them to buy.

Landing page to promote offer

A strong landing page (or website) is essential for any online business.

If you don’t have a place to promote your products, services, and offers, how do you expect to educate your audience on how you can help?

There’s only so much information a 180 character tweet can convey.

You need a landing page (or website) to show people you’re serious about what you do and how you can help.

It’s the foundation for any successful business.

Newsletter sign-up to deepen trust

Newsletters are the bedrock of Justin and Dan’s business.

If you want to create a deeper bond with your audience, you need to be writing a weekly (or bi-weekly) newsletter.

Newsletters show that you’re serious about what you do, and you have a genuine interest in helping those around you.

It’s a great way to dive deep into potential problems and show your target audience how you can help.

Welcome sequence to introduce yourself

When people follow you (or sign up to your newsletter) they don’t know anything about you.

At first they’re interested in what you say, but now it’s a chance to explain who you are, what you do, and how you can help.

It’s another powerful way to form a stronger connection with your audience, position yourself as an authority, and build more trust.

After all, trust is the most important part of business.

You should always be looking to build it.

1x weekly problem solving newsletter

There’s a reason why top creators create weekly newsletters.

It positions themselves as an authority.

Who do people buy from? People with authority.

Not many people are willing to commit to a weekly newsletter. And that’s why it’s a great way to create one.

You stand out.

That’s important in a world where everyone is fighting for your attention.

Long-form forces you to come up with unique perspectives, gain depth behind your writing, and highlight potential gaps in your knowledge.

It beats superficial short-form content every day of the week.

Plug newsletter & offer under best performing post

This is a staple of Dan and Justin’s business.

You’ll notice that as soon as their content reaches a certain amount of engagement their offers, services, or newsletters are automatically plugged under their tweets.

It’s a great way to build more trust and potential sales.

After all, if you’re not going to promote yourself no-one else will.

Continue to plug and post with the strategy outlined above.

To summarise:

Trust and authority are two of the most important factors in business. The 6 step strategy above is a great way to tackle both simultaneously (hence why the top creators do it). The challenge is committing to 1 piece of long-form a week. It’s no quick-fix, but it’s a solid foundation to build your creator business into the future and a positive relationship with your audience.
